The Coachmen's Turntable 08/29/2022

Good Morning Everyone!

I woke up this morning but my Apple smartphone didn't!

If you own a smartphone, especially if you've owned it for a long time, you know that having your phone go belly up could be an absolute nightmare. Your first thought is, "My entire life is on that phone,"  calendar appointments, contacts, birthdays, anniversaries, email, and so many little utility apps. How will I get everything back if my phone is completely dead? Will I have to re-create everything? Wow, how much time will that take?

Fortunately, the entire phone is regularly backed up to Apple iCloud. So, I went to the Apple store at the Mall of America and replaced the phone, downloading the backup and installing all the apps, data, and content from my original phone! What a relief! The phone was expensive, but it was great to get it back, looking precisely like the one I lost.

Cloud backup is available for Android phones too.
