"I gotta go where it's warm!!!"

And that is just what we're going to do.  Leaving for Florida on Feb 28th.  We'll be gone for 2 months.  The next turntable will be coming from South of the Mason Dixon Line!!!
I put 20 rounds in MY freezer thanks to my FN-Herstal 5.7mm handgun!  The clip holds 20 rounds and can be fired really fast! For me (the novice) 3 rounds per second is just gettin'er done!

Ok Ok!  I don't own a real gun and Joan won't let me shoot or throw anything at her freezer.  I must admit though, it made me feel real good to say that!

The weather in "the north country" can really get to you this time of year!  The days are so short (less than 8 hours of sunlight) and you don't get outside because you don't want to freeze your butt off!  "Cabin Fever" is areal malady here and the only way it can be cured is to go somewhere south!
I love Westy's email "Spring is on its way".  Well, maybe in the Pacific NW but not here in good old Minnesota and Wisconsin!  Here Spring is just a rumor!  Think about this . . we have to point to Boston to find folks that are more miserable than we are.  This morning I had to tell Joan "We have "NO DEGREES" . . AGAIN!!!  And just about the time you think you can deal with it guess what? . . . The taxman cometh!  No escaping the misery here . . . No sir!  And "After Taxes" we have to deal with it on LESS MONEY!  Lets let Jimmy tell us what thats like!!!
At least Jimmy dealt with less money in a better climate!!!  Everyone should have a place to "let loose".  Jimmy has the "Bama Breeze", which is  just about everything anyone would want.  Warm weather, warm friends and great music. (and a little beer)
Here's hoping you all get the opportunity to "Escape" for a while this winter to your own Bama Breeze!!!

Till Next Week

Plot[edit]
Fotoula "Toula" Portokalos (Nia Vardalos) is going through an early midlife crisis. At thirty, she is the only woman in her family who has "failed." Her family expects her to "marry a Greek boy, make Greek babies, and feed everyone until the day [she] die[s]." Instead, Toula is stuck working in the family business in Chicago, a restaurant, "Dancing Zorba's." In contrast to her "perfect" sister, Athena (Stavroula Logothetis), Toula is frumpy and cynical. She fears that she is doomed to be stuck with her life as it is.
Gus (her father) finally permits Toula to begin taking computer classes at a local college. She also gets contact lenses, curls her hair, and begins to use make-up, which improves her mood, her confidence, and her self-esteem. Armed with her new skills, Toula convinces her mother and her Aunt Voula (Andrea Martin) to get Gus to allow Toula to work at Voula's travel agency instead of the restaurant.

Toula feels much better in her new job, especially when she notices Ian looking at her through the window. Despite Toula initially being terribly shy whenever she sees Ian, they finally introduce themselves indirectly, and they begin dating. Toula keeps the relationship secret from her family, until some weeks later when Gus finds out.  He throws a fit because Ian is not an ethnic Greek (a xeno), and he orders Toula to end the relationship, but Ian and Toula continue to see each other against Gus's wishes.

Ian proposes marriage to her, and she accepts. Gus is hurt and infuriated, feeling that his daughter has betrayed him. Ian agrees to be baptized in the Greek Orthodox Church, an act which earns Gus's grudging respect and the acceptance of the rest of the family. WIKI

Note:  This clip is a bit long . . . but worth every second!!!
My Big Fat Greek Wedding

is a 2002 Canadian-American romantic comedy film written by and starring Nia Vardalos and directed by Joel Zwick. The film is centered on Fotoula "Toula" Portokalos, a lower middle class Greek American woman who falls in love with a non-Greek upper middle class "White Anglo-Saxon Protestant" Ian Miller. At the 75th Academy Awards, it was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. A sleeper hit, the film became the highest-grossing romantic comedy of all time,[2] and grossed $241.4 million in North America, despite never reaching number one at the box office during its release (the highest-grossing film to accomplish this feat). (wiki)
Following are random clips from various parts of the movie.
Here we find Aunt Voula getting acquainted with Ian's parents.
Ian is a bit apprehensive as he tries to meld into this new Greek Family.  Toula's brothers have a way of making Ian feel uncomfortable . . . they get a kick out of it.  From Toula's brothers trying to get Ian into trouble to Gus (Toula's father) who believes "Windex it a miracle substance that can "fix" anything, Ian has his work cut out for him.
My big Fat Greek Wedding! Really a FUN movie!!

This Saturday is Valentine's Day!!
Just a "Heads Up" for those of us that tend to forget these important dates.  You might call this a "Life Saving" reminder!!!  If you're at a loss for what to do, you still have time to rent "Return to Me" add to that a Red Valentine Shaped box of candy and a couple of roses and who knows . . . you might get lucky!!
Return to Me
is a 2000 American romantic comedy-drama film directed by Bonnie Hunt and starring David Duchovny and Minnie Driver. It was filmed in Chicago in 1999, and released in April 2000. This was Carroll O'Connor's final film before his death the following year.
Plot[edit]
Bob and Elizabeth Rueland (David Duchovny and Joely Richardson) both work — Bob as an architect, Elizabeth as a zoologist — at Chicago's Lincoln Park Zoo. Elizabeth is killed in a car accident, and her heart is transplanted to Grace Briggs (Minnie Driver), who has suffered from heart disease since the age of 14 and is near death. The surgery is successful and Grace, an artist, is able to live a normal life for the first time. She plans to make her first airplane trip to Italy to paint, and her friend Megan Dayton (Bonnie Hunt) encourages her to begin dating, although Grace is self-conscious about the long surgery scar on her chest.
A year later, Bob remains depressed but recognizes that he must resume his life, helped in part by an anonymous letter from Grace through the hospital thanking him for his wife's heart. His friend, Charlie (David Allen Grier), organizes a blind date for him at a restaurant. Bob finds he is more interested in the waitress — Grace, who is also the granddaughter of the restaurant's owner, Marty O'Reilly (Carroll O'Connor). Bob and Grace begin to date; although they become close, Grace avoids telling Bob about her medical history.
Just before Grace tells Bob about her transplant, she finds her letter in his house. Horrified by the discovery, Grace flees and tells Megan, who later explains the situation to her husband in six monosyllables: "Grace has Bob's dead wife's heart!"
When Grace meets Bob again, she tells him the truth. He is stunned and leaves her. Grace sadly goes to Europe alone, but Bob realizes that he needs to go after her. This movie includes one of the most romantic lines when David Duchovny states, "I miss Elizabeth. I will always miss her. But.... I ache.. for Grace.."[citation needed]  (Thanks WIKI)
Happy Valentines Day!

                                              Introducing
                                          " Raylan Givens"
                                  US Marshall Harlan Kentucky

Justified is an American television drama series developed by Graham Yost. It is based on Elmore Leonard's short story "Fire in the Hole".[2] Timothy Olyphant portrays Raylan Givens, a tough U.S. Marshal enforcing his own brand of justice in his hometown of Harlan, Kentucky.[2] The series is set in Lexington and in the Appalachian mountains area of eastern Kentucky, specifically in and around Harlan. wiki
Justified premiered on March 16, 2010, on the FX network.[2][4] The show was renewed for a second season, which premiered on February 9, 2011.[5] A third season of 13 episodes was announced on March 29, 2011,[6] and premiered January 17, 2012. A fourth season of 13 episodes was announced on March 6, 2012 and premiered January 8, 2013.[7] The show was renewed for a fifth season, which premiered on January 7, 2014.[8] On January 14, 2014, the series was renewed for a sixth and final season,[9] which premiered on January 20, 2015.[10]   wiki
There are several ways you can enjoy Justified.  (1) Buy all 5 seasons (not recommended) cost approx $150.00.  (2) Get the movies on disc from Netflix (rather slow - you have to wait between discs.)  (3) Join Amazon and "stream" the first 5 seasons one day at a time, or just go ahead and "Binge away!"  Amazon costs $100 per year and includes thousands of free streaming movies, free 2nd day shipping, discounted E-books and one free Kindle book by new authors from a selection of 4 each month!

No. . . I'm not selling Amazon.  I'm just speaking as an individual who has experience in this new cyber world of ours, researched, and found the most cost effective entertainment available.  Currently the winner (in my humble opinion) is Amazon.  Coming in at a close second is Netflix.  Time for you to jump in the pool . . . the water is fine!!!
Last week we discussed Country Music and were led astray by one Jerry Leyendecker as he proceeded to push us over into Country Western.  Now I'm a fan of Country Western just as, I've come to learn, most of ya'll are.  But I was referring to the "Oke Country" of Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky and the like.  Coal mining country, Appellation mountains, Moonshine runnin and  the occasional consumption of weed.  Witness this clip to get my drift!
This is great stuff folks!  I'm hoping you can find the way to watch this series.  But as JL of "Country Western" might say "You can lead a horse to water"!

Till Next Week
