Good Morning Everyone!

From Pandemic to inflation to WAR???

If you feel a little unsettled and nauseated, you are not alone! Remember, "this too shall pass."  Well, at least we can hope! Pandemic, inflation, a war with the threat of a nuclear holocaust! Been there . . . done that. Remember in grade school when we all had to "duck and cover."  For sure, our wood desk would save us from the effects of the nuclear blasts. Oh well, we're still here, ain't we!

We need to shrug some of this off and be more optimistic. Don't let this temporary situation throw you for a loop. Make sure you get your shots and boosters; leave your investments alone. Spend some time on a budget to soften the effects of inflation. Careful planning, not panic, will serve you well in these crazy times.

Good Morning Everyone!

Having a bad day? This, perhaps, will lend some perspective!

Thank God winter is almost over! I see grass in our front yard, and the temperature is supposed to reach 60 degrees. I'm dusting off the grille and planning burgers for dinner. Most of our members will be at least mid 40's or above. That should melt snow in all our neighborhoods!

Soon we'll be planting flowers in the yard . . . or, at our age . . . watching someone do it for us! My preferred method!

On a golf tour in Ireland, Tiger Woods drives his BMW into a petrol station in a remote part of the Irish countryside.

The pump attendant obviously knows nothing about golf, greets him in a typical Irish manner completely unaware of who the golfing pro is.

Top of the mornin’ to yer, sir” says the attendant.

Tiger nods a quick “hello” and bends forward to pick up the nozzle.

As he does so, two tees fall out of his shirt pocket onto the ground.

“What are dose? asks the attendant.

“They’re called tees” replies Tiger.

“Well, what on the god’s earth are dey for?” inquires the Irishman.

“They’re for resting my balls on when I’m driving”, says Tiger.

“Fookin Jaysus”, says the Irishman, “BMW thinks of everything

Good Morning Everyone!

OCTOGENARIANS? . . . I HOPE NOT!!!

Call what you want but let's face it. Old is Old!  I prefer to think of the '80s as fashionably mature!  Interestingly, our club members will be joining those ranks within a year. Many are on the cusp or just recently "over the hill." One nice thing about being old is you don't have to schedule any more colonoscopies. Why? Ask your friendly doctor! Thankfully our club members matured much better than the "Old Comrades" pictured here. Keep up the excellent work!

Good Morning Everyone!

AREN'T YOU GLAD THAT CALL MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE HASN'T CAUGHT ON EVERYWHERE?

Boy, I can tell you that I'm personally sick and tired of being placed on hold! What a helpless feeling. No opportunity to say, "well, I don't really have that much time," or "how long do you expect me to be on hold"? A Gary Larson caption best expressed the frustration of being placed on hold. "Your call is important to us, please remain on hold . . . until your call is no longer important to you"!

How about "please wait for the beep to leave a message - this mailbox is full . . . goodbye."

Of course, we all know the phone was a great gift given to us by Alexander Graham Bell. It's been all downhill since then!
