Howdy Everyone!!

I'm sure this will come as no surprise  . . .  yesterday was Gene Autry's birthday!

Orvon Grover Autry, better known as Gene Autry, was an American performer who gained fame as a singing cowboy on the radio, in movies, and on television for more than three decades beginning in the early 1930s.
Born: September 29, 1907, Tioga, TX
Died: October 2, 1998, Studio City, CA
Height: 5' 9" (1.75 m)
Spouse: Jackie Autry (m. 1981–1998), Ina Mae Spivey (m. 1932–1980)
 So here's to you Gene!
Reminds me of the days in Manitowoc when we would go to the Empire Theatre.  Anyone got stories????  Here a couple of old movies you might want to check out.  Your choice . . . watch all or none.  Don't forget the popcorn . . .  some of these are an hour long!
I loved the old western movies!!!  You just don't see them anymore.  I suppose its because too many good guys got shot in the back, they all drank a lot . . I mean . .  A LOT with Saloons everywhere,  and I guess these movies weren't very popular with the Indians!  I'll probably watch them all.  You know why???  Because . . . .

Well it's time for me to get on my horse and mosey on out of here.  (you don't hear the term mosey much anymore either)

Till Next Week

Oh Hi!

Either you guys are early or I'm late  . . . .   I prefer to think you guys are early!!!

As you can see I'm here at Torr's garage.  Remember? . . . kind of a mint green with white trim?  The garage door is open and I'm trying like heck to pull the pin on the turntable.  At first I thought it was stuck but I can see that somebody welded it in there!!  I'm going to need tools . . so while I'm working why don't you all listen to a tune . . . . "Old Time Rock & Roll" . . .  Feel free to dance in your underwear!!!  I won't look.

Back already? . . .  Man! . . . this is a lot of work!!!  As you can see I've got my tools and I've been able to remove one pin. Now I'm going after the second.  You know,  you guys really aren't much help . . . all standing around with your hands in your pockets.  Oh well, I guess it doesn't matter . . this takes skill . . . seems to me that getting a hood open took all the skill our club could muster.  So, while I work, why don't you think about what you were doing when this song became a hit in 1959.   See ya on the other side.
OK both pins out . . . .  now where is the handle that fits in the turntable.  Hey Torr!!! where's the handle???  Gee it looks like I'm going to have to do everything myself!!!  Alright, while I find the handle,  here's another tune out of 1959.  Be right back.
Well . . .  will you look at that!  The handle is in,  a little WD40 and that turntable is spinning like a top!  We'll be using this platter . .  ahhh . . Turntable to spin tunes, stories or whatever comes to mind.  Well, that about wraps it up for now.

Hey Torr, my hands are dirty.  Is there a sink is this place? . . . did anyone think to bring beer???

See ya next week
