Good Morning Everyone!
What's this?

Picture
A Tucker 1948 car is typically valued at around $1.2 million in good condition. However, prices can vary widely based on the condition, authenticity, and history of the specific vehicle. Some examples have sold for as much as $2.9 million.

This week, let's reflect on the significant influence of our everyday choices. It is often the seemingly small decisions, made consistently, that shape the course of our lives. By approaching these with care and consideration, we lay a strong foundation for navigating the larger, less frequent decisions that come our way. Focus on the power of your daily intentions and actions.

Thought for today
"Don't just drift into the week; steer into it. Set a small, achievable goal for today and commit to seeing it through. Purposeful action, even on a small scale, builds momentum and confidence."

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!

Picture
Pope Francis, first Latin American pontiff who ministered with a charming, humble style, dies at 88

Pope Francis, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio in Buenos Aires, Argentina, became the 266th Pope of the Catholic Church on March 13, 2013. He is the first Pope from the Americas, the first from the Southern Hemisphere, and the first Jesuit Pope.
His papacy is marked by an emphasis on God's mercy, concern for the poor and marginalized, environmental stewardship, and interreligious dialogue. Known for his humility and simpler lifestyle compared to predecessors, he often advocates for a less judgmental and more pastoral approach within the Church. Key themes include social justice, outreach to peripheries, and reform of the Roman Curia. His encyclical Laudato si' focused significantly on care for the environment.

TARIFFS, TARIFFS, TARIFFS!
Seems that's all we are hearing about lately.  Tariffs, handled properly by people who understand what they do, can actually be helpful in balancing world trade.

For example;
I get my hair cut every 5 weeks . . .  I pay my barber $40.00 for each haircut.  So far he has bought nothing from me.  I am running a trade deficit with my barber.  Is the proper solution placing a 40% tariff on my barber?  How is that going to work out?

A Note to the Wise
Tariffs are taxes imposed by a government on imported goods, primarily intended to protect domestic industries by making foreign products more expensive and less competitive.
1
While they can potentially shield local businesses and jobs from foreign competition and generate government revenue, tariffs often lead to negative consequences.
2
They typically increase prices for consumers, as the cost of imported goods rises and domestic producers may also raise their prices due to reduced competitive pressure.
3
Furthermore, tariffs can provoke retaliatory measures from other countries, harming export-oriented domestic industries and potentially escalating into damaging trade disputes that disrupt global supply chains and reduce overall economic efficiency.
THINK!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!

Picture

Hi Everyone, Today, I'd like to share something meaningful with you.

The flipside selections have been carefully chosen as our tribute and farewell to our dear friend, Sharon (Prickett) Meany. I invite you to listen to them.

In remembrance.

Gulliver
has dropped a couple of amazing posts on Gulliver's Travels today that you'll love!

You absolutely have to see "Cameroon Part II." Gulliver shares an incredible experience in Africa, watching Pygmies fish and build huts using traditional methods still practiced today. It's a fascinating glimpse into daily life of the local community.

Also, make sure to check out the "Picturesque! - Classic" post. It's being called 'classic on very many levels' – click through and see why!
