HAPPY NEW YEAR! This, the last issue of "The Coachmen's Turntable" in 2013, is dedicated to Bill Ohde. Metaphorically speaking, we are all strolling down the same hallway, directly toward a new year! At the end of the hall and behind that door is 2014! . . . listen carefully . . . I think I can hear music! Time passes, things change, what's new becomes old and sometimes whats old becomes new again. Ever heard of "Flash Mobs"? Thanks to the inter-connectivity of today's electronic devices, groups of people are able to communicate everywhere in the world instantaneously. It didn't take long for the "mover shaker" crowd to organize "Flash Mobs" or "synchronizedexhibitions" which occur at preset times. They appear to be spontaneous. For example; you are walking in a mall, music starts playing and dancers emerge from the crowd, movements totally synchronized. These events may be performed in many countries around the world at the same instant! That's pretty awesome! When the music stops they melt back into the crowd. Check this out! About this time last year we created a play-list for Bill. We asked each Coachmen to pick their 5 favorite oldies to be placed in a play-list for him. Bill picked "It's all In the Game" by Tommy Edwards as his all time favorite song. So Bill, this one is for you. Till Next Week
