Our weekly selections come from "Youtube". Each selection that we play has a rating measured by the number of "hits" or, number of times, the selection is played. A digital counter is attached to each selection. When we play a tune we can see how "popular" it is by the number of "hits" it has received. Here are some of the best Oldies and the number of hits they've accumulated to use as a benchmark for comparison.
Elvis - Blue Suede Shoes 3,371,000 hits
Elvis - Jailhouse Rock 13,034,000 hits
Everly Brothers - Cathy's Clown 1,023,000 hits
Following are songs your grandkids are listening to - with the number of "hits".
It's excellent music so take the time to listen to the entire selection.
"Story of my life" One Direction 148,501,559 hits!
Ooops! do we really know they're watching this stuff????
That's almost a BILLION hits! Who knew?
We believe our high school years were the "best ever" for great music. Our grandkids could make that claim too. We'd both be right!
