Speaking of "above freezing" we haven't seen the thermometer slide above 32 for about 4 to 5 weeks. Snow hit us just before Thanksgiving and has been accumulating ever since. For some dumb reason I expected this to happen (global warming and all), so I had both our snowblowers (Toro single stage and the "big daddy" Honda three stage 7.5hp) tuned up in early November. So far I've used the Toro about 6 times. I used the Honda once . . . first time in about 8 years! I also traded our VW van for a Subaru Outback fulltime all wheel drive. It's done a good job keeping me out of the ditch.
I doubt I'll see any watery puddles soon. If I do they will be suspect for sure!
