Joan and I finally sold our electric bikes. It was a tough decision but the more we thought about biking the less we thought about it.
At some point we needed to recognize we're getting a bit 'mature' for the biking scene. Falling off a bike at our age brings a host of things we would rather not participate in. Like the flashing red lights of an ambulance, crash carts and folks all around saying "you'll be just fine". I'd rather just walk (which, by the way, is really good for us)
Anyway, they were 5 years old and we recovered 50% of the original cost. Not bad.
