Turntable "Special Edition"

Lots of talk this week outside the clubhouse regarding pilots, airplanes, Fords etc. made me think . . . can we put all this together and fit it with my dream for the perfect "daytripper van"?

Well, after checking around, I found that all those components were already together . . . in 1936!!!

It appears to be the perfect solution for all of us! Just don't know the proper terminology for navigation . . . do you pilot it, or drive it???

Harv, yes indeed, a lot of comments about Fords and flying... but you forgot to mention Peter's report of a UFO sighting in Manitowoc in April of '58! And lots of Civil Air Patrol lore, too.

I have recently received a 'top secret' report of the CAP's investigation of that UFO sighting and can confirm that it appears to have been authentic. And a search of information about UFO sightings and related reports from 1958 seem to indicate that there was a whole lot of 'alien' interest in Manitowoc back then. For some unknown reason 'alien' visitations seem to indicate a strong interest in Manitowoc.

One can only speculate, but could it be that they heard of the Coachmen Car Club, or the CAP squadron and its stunning Major Bassett and his brilliant EX-O Wayne Westover, or maybe even the 'Comets' and its humble leader, me? Surely, Manitowoc was a hub of intellectual creativity back in 1958, enough perhaps to warrant further investigation by superior 'alien' intellects. Is it possible? We can't rule it out, but we can certainly continue to connect the dots, while we 'Rock On' to our destiny among the stars!

I gotta tell you Jerry. Back in those days I personally saw a lot of strange stuff. Once I thought I saw an Alien Spacecraft . . . turned out to be the wrought iron headboard on my bed. Was pretty scary though for about 10 seconds.

Sure, Harv, that would have been scary. Personally, the only scary 'alien' encounters I can remember back in the 1950s were in Two Rivers.
