"Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree" is a song by Dawn featuring Tony Orlando. It was written by Irwin Levine and L. Russell Brown and produced by Hank Medress and Dave Appell, with Motown/Stax backing vocalist Telma Hopkins, Joyce Vincent Wilson and her sister Pamela Vincent on backing vocals.  It was a worldwide hit for the group in 1973.
It reached number one on both the US and UK charts for four weeks in April 1973, number one on the Australian charts for seven weeks from May to July 1973 and number one on the New Zealand charts for ten weeks from June to August 1973. It was the top-selling single in 1973 in both the US and UK.
1978
"Stayin' Alive" is a disco song by the Bee Gees from the Saturday Night Fever motion picture soundtrack. The song was written by the Bee Gees members (Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb)  and produced by the Bee Gees, Albhy Galuten, and Karl Richardson. It was released on 13 December 1977 as the second single from the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. It is one of their signature songs. In 2004, "Stayin' Alive" was placed at number 189 on the list of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All time. In 2004, it ranked No. 9 on AFI's 100 Years 100 Songs survey of top tunes in American cinema. In a UK television poll on ITV in December 2011 it was voted fifth in "The Nation's Favorite Bee Gees Song".
1967
"Windy" is a pop music song written by Ruthann Friedman and recorded by The Association. Released in 1967, the song reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100  in July of that year. Later in 1967, an instrumental version by jazz guitarist Wes Montgomery became his biggest Hot 100 hit when it peaked at #44. "Windy" was The Association's second U.S. number-one, following "Cherish" in 1966. Billboard ranked the record as the No. 4 song for 1967.
1982
"Physical" is a song by British-born Australian recording artist Olivia Newton-john for her twelfth studio album. It was released in September 1981, by MCA Records as the lead single.
The song was an immediate success, shipping 2 million copies in the United States, being certified Platinum,  and spending 10 weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100,  ultimately becoming Newton-John's biggest American hit. The song reached number 7 on the UK chart in November 1981. The song was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and won the Billboard Award for Top Pop Single.

"You Can't Change That"
song by Raydio from their album Rock On.  Released as a single in 1979, it reached number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and number three on the R&B chart.
1965
"Help Me, Rhonda" is a song written and composed by Brian Wilson with additional lyrics by Mike Love for The Beach Boys.  The single peaked at number one in the United States, making it the second Beach Boys single to reach that position after "I Get Around " in 1964. 
1978

Grease
" is a song written by Barry Gibb and performed by Frankie Valli.  "Grease" is the title song for the musical motion picture Grease,  which was based on the stage playoff the same name. It was featured twice on the film's soundtrack, as the first track and reprised as the final track.
1966
​"California Dreamin'"
is a song written by John Phillips and Michelle Phillips  and was first recorded by Barry McGuire. However, the best known version is by The Mamas & Papas, who sang backup on the original version and released as a single in 1965. The song is #89 in Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. The lyrics of the song express the narrator's longing for the warmth of Los Angeles during a cold winter in New York City.

"Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)" is a 1972 pop song written and composed by Elliot Lurie and recorded by Lurie's band, Looking Glass, on their debut album Looking Glass. The single reached number one on both the Billboard Hot 100 and ash Box Top 100 charts, remaining in the top position for one week. Billboard ranked it as the 12th biggest song of 1972.

1977
"I Just Want to Be Your Everything" is a song recorded by Andy Gibb, initially released in 1977. It reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks, starting on the week ending 30 July 1977, and again for the week ending 17 September 1977. It was Gibb's first single released in the United Kingdom and United States.  His previous single, "Words and Music" was only released in Australia, It is ranked number 26 on Billboard's 55th anniversary All Time Top 100 list. The song became a gold record.
1966
"You Can't Hurry Love" is a 1966 song originally recorded by The Supremes on the Motown label. 
Written and produced by Motown production team Holland-Dozier-Holland,  the song topped the United States Billboard pop singles chart, in the UK  in the top 5, and in the Australian singles Chart in the top 10, released and peaking late summer/early autumn in 1966. 
1981
"Angel of the Morning" is a popular song written by Chip Taylor that has been recorded numerous times and has been a hit single for various artists including Juice Newton reaching #25 in 1981.

Margaritaville
" is a 1977 song by American singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett from the album Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes.  This song was written about a drink Buffett discovered at Lung's Cocina del Sur restaurant on Anderson Lane in Austin, Texas, and the first huge surge of tourists who descended on Key West, Florida around that time. "Margaritaville" reached number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and went to number one on the Easy Listening chart,  also peaking at #13 on the Hot Country Songs chart.  Billboard ranked it number 14 on its 1977 Pop Singles year-end chart.  It remains Buffett's highest charting solo single.

1976

Take It to the Limit
" is a song by the Eagles from their fourth album One of These Nights from which it was issued as the third single on November 15, 1975. It reached No. 4 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and was also the Eagles' greatest success to that point in the UK, going to No. 12 on the charts. Billboard ranked it as the No. 25 song for 1976.
1968
"Mrs. Robinson" (The Graduate) 
became Simon & Garfunkel's second chart-topper, hitting number one on the Billboard Hot 100,
and peaking within the top 10 of multiple other countries, including the United Kingdom, Ireland and Spain, among others. In 1969, it became the first rock song to win the Grammy Award for Record of the Year. The song has been covered by a number of artists, including Frank Sinatra, the Lemonheads, and Bon Jovi.  In 2004, it finished at #6 on AFI's 100 Years . . . 100 Songs  survey of top tunes in American cinema.

1971
"It's Too Late" is a song from Carole King's 1971 album Tapestry. Toni Stern wrote the lyrics and King wrote the music. It was released as a single in April 1971 and reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Adult Contemporary charts. Sales were later certified Gold by the RIAA.Billboard ranked "It's Too Late" and its fellow A-side, "I Feel the Earth Move",  as the No. 3 record for 1971.

1976
"Silly Love Songs" is a song written by Paul McCartney and performed by Wings. The song appears on the 1976 album Wings at the Speed of Sound. It was also released as a single in 1976, backed with "Cook of the House". The song, written in response to music critics accusing him of writing only "silly love songs", also features disco overtones.
1964
"Downtown" is a pop song composed by Tony Hatch which, as recorded by Petula Clark in 1964.  In 1964 it  became an international hit, reaching No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 and No. 2 in UK Singles Chart. Hatch received the 1981 Ivor Novello award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically.
The song has been covered by many singers, including Dolly Parton and Emma Bunton. 

1980
"Steal Away" is a song by American singer Robbie Dupree, from his 1980 debut album Robbie Dupree. Released as the first single from the album, it became his biggest hit, peaking at #6 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and #5 on the Adult Contemporary charts.
