Chris did the drilling and placing the spigots in the trunks. My job was to secure the hoses to the spigots. The other end gets inserted into a cover which is then placed on top the pail. This prevents debris from contaminating the sap during the catching process. Some trees, depending on age and circumference, have anywhere from one to three taps. Will forward pics of the boiling/evaporating process once we collect enough sap.
