Sharon (Heise) Magnusson
After graduating from Lincoln, I spent one year at the University of Wisconsin Extension Center in Manitowoc. A year later, I moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where Bill Ohde was attending the Cooper School of Art, and where I attended secretarial school. I worked as a private secretary until Bill graduated from Cooper. We were engaged that year and moved back to Wisconsin; Bill to Shorewood where we planned to live after we married and I to Manitowoc. We married in January of '64 and when I became pregnant with our first child in 1966, we bought a home in Mequon where I was a stay-at-home mom. Subsequently, we had two more children, all boys.

When Bill and I separated in 1975, I worked as a hostess and waitress. During this time, I decided to go back to college for a teaching degree. I began that venture in 1977 at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
In 1979, I married John Magnusson and dropped out of school for a couple of years to help him with his practice. I was John's receptionist, chair-side assistant, bookkeeper, and cleaning lady.
In '81, I returned to UWM. It was there that I graduated with honors with a double major in biology and earth science in 1986. I taught middle school science until I retired in 1997.
I am currently involved with the care of my grandchildren during the summer months and drive them to school each morning during the school year. When I'm not doing that, I enjoy photography, my pets, and traveling. I'm very much enjoying my Coachmen status!
