Good Morning Everyone!

WOW! Can you believe it? Our Summer Rally is just a little over three weeks away!

To keep the excitement building, I have a video treat for you in today's Picturesque! I'd like to extend a big thank you to Lynn Wallen for finding it. It’s from a PBS series called John McGivern's Main Streets, and it turns out the host is a Milwaukee local who knows all about Manitowoc, the SS Badger, and Ludington.

The best part is that this video is basically a sneak peek of our own itinerary! You'll see some familiar places from our schedule, including our wonderful accommodations (The Ludington House, Cartier Mansion, and The Carriage House) (attn Barb . . . you can leave your shovel at home)You'll even meet the owners, Chris and Jenna!.  You will also visit our lunch spot for Wednesday, The Jamesport Brewery. 

Have fun watching the video—it’s a great preview of all the fun ahead. (You may have to watch a few ads first, but it's worth it!)

CLIMATE WATCH
As of July 15, the National Weather Service has issued 3,040 flash flood warnings nationwide — a record, according to the Iowa Environmental Mesonet at Iowa State. The data goes back to 1986. In early July, the U.S. experienced four 1-in-1,000-year flooding events in a week, including the terrible tragedy northwest of San Antonio, Texas. Homeowners' insurance premiums are rising, largely due to climate-fueled weather disasters nationwide.​
