Someone forwarded this shot to me from Juneau. I can’t make out the name of the photographer as it blends with the snowy spruce in the background. However, Tor, (my son) says it’s posted on the whale Facebook page and that it’s OK to use it. This is not the life-scale whale that we installed in August-September, but a 1/3 life scale cast—an intermediate step toward the big whale—which is on the campus of the University of Alaska, Southeast. The humpback whale is the university mascot and the sculpture is called “Spike”. All best wishes for Christmas and 2017, Skip |
