Year End Newsletter                                                                                   2015
Letter from the SOTR Board

The Spirit of the Rivers Board is thrilled to announce that we have reached our goal of $750,000.

2015 was an amazing year for the project. From hundreds of school children, summer Farmer’s Market open houses to a guest author visit by Helen Frost, the project has provided learning opportunities to community members of all ages and interests.

We are very grateful for the support the community has provided. During the three months of summer the project was fortunate enough to receive a $50,000 challenge grant from the John and Kate Miler Foundation. At the end of the matching grant, the community had donated over $75,000….AMAZING!

As the weather changed and we grew closer to year end, the excitement for the project increased and was capped off by a wonderful evening in December in which community members spent an evening in the studio celebrating the holiday season and an amazing project.

We are confident 2016 will be equally as successful and we encourage you to visit the studio, spread the word and be a part of history
