Here’s a shot of the whale sculpture in it’s present state of assembly—sans flippers and internal stainless steel support structure.  Coachmen may be interested as we posted a progress report on the whale project a couple months ago.  That posting included a map of the area of Juneau where the whale will be sited and also of the proposed “Sea Walk” which will lead from downtown Juneau for about 3/4 of a mile to the whale site.

Work is just beginning on the Sea Walk and I’ll attach a photo recently sent to me by the project manager.  The bridge in the background connects the main part of Juneau which is on the mainland, to Douglas Island which is visible beyond the bridge.  The rip-rap is for ballast for the sea walk, (I assume).

But if you cousin in Juneau has enough room in his igloo for 20 Coachmen we may wish to consider that trip.
